Day One Recap


The first day went fairly well. My head was a little groggy after the previous evening, but I managed to get to the gym before 7:00 am. I did the Body for Life upper body weight workout and went into the office to shower (yes I have a shower in my office) and realized I had left my backpack and laptop at home. My faithful wife brought them in with her and the day began with the usual onslaught of customer service crisis calls after a long vacation period. Had tuna and some lettuce, cheese and crackers for lunch, and some of the leftover gumbo for supper (no rice). Resisted the temptation to imbibe my favorite beverage as we had about 8 people over at our house when I got home. My wife is the President of our homeowners association, and she was hosting a board meeting. These usually turn into marathon sessions about nothing that would drive anyone to drink. Evening weight was 256.
